Our Staff

The staff at the Woodworking Source is comprised of experienced woodworkers. Each sales person on our staff has detailed experience with specific aspects of working with wood and also has had exposure to most, if not all, of the types of projects our store supports. Here's the folks you may meet at your next visit:

Chuck - is our master of woodturning. He has turned hundreds of projects - of all sizes and styles. Chuck teaches a number of our classes, including Bowl and Pen Turning at all levels. He often spends his spare time on his new love - creation of turned miniatures. On his scale a thimble is a 5 gallon bucket! Be sure to ask him to show you some of his spectacular works of art.

Michele - has over 10 years of retail experience including sales,, customer service, accounting, ordering and inventory management (and she makes mighty fine Snickerdoodle too). Michele has acquired pen turning skills and enthusiastically seeks out opportunities to try new woodworking techniques every chance she gets.

Nellie - has wide ranging experience in sales, business management, and woodworking. She is a woodturner who has often produced products for sale. Nellie has developed and taught several classes which include: segmented cutting boards, picture frames and clocks.

Peter - is our resident Canadian, and most often is found running our warehouse operation. Peter has extensive experience with routers, jigs, and the creation of custom, project specific, jigs. He has taught classes on bookshelf construction, shop safety and table saw jigs.

Robert - has experience running his own retail operation. He teaches shop safety, knife making and picture framing. He has become our resident expert on the many species of domestic and exotic woods, and has introduced many new woods to our store and our customers.

Roman - previously ran his own used bookstore and has extensive experience in ornamental turning and the use of some of our more unique turning tools like the snake, vacuum chucks and carbide cutters. He has a wide ranging knowledge base on the many aspects of woodworking.

Wib - is most often found working in our classroom and shop. Wib is our resident "go-to" guy - whatever project arises, whether it be for our shop or for a customer, Wib comes up with a creative approach. He has extensive experience in cabinet making and almost any other woodworking discipline
